woo me

Got a ping from a new contact some days back, after introducing himself he said he likes me and he's looking for a spouse that can support him financially. And am like, just like that? You haven't even gotten me to like you yet? Even if you want a money machine as a girlfriend you can't even be diplomatic about it? I just felt like screaming!.
Asked myself severally if I just happen to attract complete jerks or people are just no longer interested in relationships? or has the evolution of the world's spirit led societies to adopt new values? I don't know which it is but one thing I know is that 'wooing' a girl is simply old school now. It is now like some barbaric practice done centuries back. Many guys don't even know what the word means.
Relationships are so damn shallow and everyone seems to be driven by sex or some sought of selfish interest. Eg money, statues, looks, even boredom. Dear lawd.
First dates should be in a public place where we can eat, drink, have a healthy conversation and a good laugh;but no. Now they want first dates in their rooms or a hotel.
Complementing a lady on her looks should be sincere, without ulterior motives; that has been flung out the window. Now, failure to part with your number or pin after a compliment is like a crime punishable by hanging.
Sexual talk should be like some sacred activity done only after adequate wooing and some time of relationship; now, request for a nude picture follows a "hi" on a chat.
Vacating your seat for a lady is an expression of simple courtesy;now, its interpreted as spinelessness.
I can go on and on but i'm not here to teach you how to woo a lady.
There's nothing more agonising than noticing that Mr toaster has never given any serious thought to going out with you, I mean he just asked you to date him because you happened to pass his street.
A few weeks ago I got introduced to a client's son at work. I got back into the building sat at the reception with my friend and colleague for a little chat. Then I got a note from the security guard. It read;

"Hi miss I came back in to ask if
we could go out sometime when
I'm back in town but I saw you
with your friend and felt it would
be rude to cut in. That's why I sent
                                               this. So here's my number:
(he's number) it will be great to
                                                 hear from you. Thank you"

I was startled by he's politeness and also impressed. The last time I got a hand written note from a guy was in UDSS SS2 (not because we didn't have phones). In my typical Ejiro fashion I decided to stall for 2days. But on the afternoon of the 2nd day the secretary gave me a note with that same number and name. She said he called the office phone to ask of me, since I wasn't around at the time he left he's name and number in case I lost the one he gave me before. Needless to say, I was totally impressed at his persistence. That's something I hardly see this days. Spoke with him dat evening and even though he lived in a different state the dude was dead set on me. Guys are hardly that patient this days. Nowadays once he plans to see you or calls you once and something goes wrong or even worse pings you and you don't reply his ping on time, that's it! He locks up on your matter.
Guys think what's most important to us is money or your fleet of cars but that's not entirely true. Yes we love the dough, six figure paying job and all but that's not what matters most to us o. Ladies love being wooed, we want to be wanted, we want the doors opened for us, we love gifts when there's no celebration, we love a man who likes us, says it and doesn't beat around the bush about it, a man that doesn't check
to see if it's safe to tell a girl that he's  crazy about her and damns the consequences to see her. See? Very simple things that won't cost you a dime. A Lot of guys have told me I'm difficult and I play hard to get. How won't I? I mean how can a guy say he loves me and doesn't know the road to my house or my office? Some don't even have my phone number! Jezzz. See eh, there's a way you'd toast a girl even if she's got a boyfriend she go confuse.
I don't know if social media contributes to the shallowness of young folks looking at what society says is "cool".  Everyone wants to fit in - all the media, TV, magazines are full of half-naked women.  This is deemed cool.  So, what do we expect? We're doing exactly what we're told to do - worship the material world. Sex is an overwhelming drive, and most men don't know how to make anything else more important in their lives.
Sometimes I feel that many women are quite OK with this, or else they would stop giving it up to douchebag players. But again I remember that finding a decent guy is a challenge so a lot of women might want to keep a seemingly good man by giving it up. So I really don't know who to blame on this menace. The men or the women. Maybe it's just a fast changing world.
Well, not everyone is shallow minded. If you want to find a non-shallow, good spouse then you must first become non-shallow yourself and break away from those around you who are themselves shallow and worshipping the material world.
So common be a real man,woo that lady- only a king recognises a queen. To the ladies please do not accept any one who treats you less than a queen. Never lower your standards. It's in your hands to teach your admirers how you want to be treated.
